The Story Behind High Point Press
High Point Press was founded by designer and printmaker Chris out of a lifelong passion for vintage cartography, 1930s Works Progress Administration (WPA) national park lithographs, and the hallowed architecture of historic athletic stadiums.
From the summer breeze whistling through the brick archways of Wrigley Field and Fenway Park to the autumn chill over the Blue Ridge summits and High Sierra ridges, places hold our most cherished memories. Our mission is to transform those emotional landmarks into timeless, understated wall decor that elevates any living room, den, executive office, or gallery wall.
Design Philosophy: Restraint & Atmosphere
Our artwork emphasizes atmosphere over visual clutter. Inspired by vintage travel ephemera, our posters feature:
- Authentic Art Deco & WPA Typography: Hand-set style typography and bold titling that honor the era of the landmark.
- Split-Fountain Sky Gradients: Rich, multi-stage ink gradients that replicate traditional screenprinted lithography.
- Curated Regional Color Palettes: Rich forest greens, vintage amber ochres, burnt rusts, and deep stadium navies calibrated for modern interior design.
Museum-Grade US Production
Every piece in our shop is made to order in the United States in partnership with Artelo, our professional print lab located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. We never cut corners on materials:
- Premium Archival Papers: Printed on heavyweight 190β230 GSM acid-free fine art paper in velvety smooth Matte or brilliant Glossy finishes.
- GiclΓ©e Archival Inks: Ultra-precise pigment printing engineered to resist UV fading and discoloration for over 100 years.
